East Tennessee Project to Rebuild the Debuty Home in Blount County
Moes Southwest Grill of Knoxville presented the One Home Many Hands project with a check for $1,500 on Saturday, June 23. The funds have been designated for the Construction Fund, which assists in purchasing materials for the home.
Moes Southwest Grill has been an outstanding supporter of the One Home Many Hands project, providing meals to more than 300 volunteers throughout the project.
The One Home Many Hands project would like to thank Moes Southwest Grill for their continued support.
The One Home Many Hands project will hold a painting day on Saturday, June 23rd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Debuty home in Blount County. More than 50 volunteers are needed to assist in painting the interior of the home.
Volunteers are asked to work either a 9 a.m. to noon morning shift, or a noon to 3 p.m. afternoon shift. Lunch will be served at noon by Moes Southwest Grill.
Project organizers are also asking volunteers to bring any painting supplies with them (i.e. paint brushes, rollers, drop cloths, painting tape, etc. Paint and primer are being provided by Lowes and Home Depot of Maryville.

Volunteers from throughout East Tennessee and employees of Joseph Construction have successfully completed the framing and roof construction of the Debuty home.
Masons, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and security subcontractors are now in the process of installing materials so that the home can be prepared for insulation and drywall.
A future Volunteer Day is expected to be announced within the next week.
David Hall, owner of Halls Salvage, the popular East Tennessee discount retailer, confirmed on Wed., May 30 that Halls Salvage will provide multiple materials for the One Home Many Hands project.
Halls Salvage will provide all wood flooring, kitchen cabinetry, counter tops, vanities and sinks for the Debuty home.
Known for their tremendous charitable efforts throughout the East Tennessee community, Halls Salvage continues to display the Volunteer Spirit. The One Home Many Hands project would like to thank David Hall and Halls Salvage for their contributions.
FunMakers, a Knoxville-based playground provider will donate an 18′ x 36′ playground for Raymond Debuty, the company confirmed last week.
FunMakers is owned locally by Mike and Robin Maddux. Mr. and Mrs. Maddux made special consideration when choosing the playground design to accommodate Raymond Debuty.
Raymond has excema, a skin disorder which often prevents him from being able to play in direct sunlight during most of the spring and summer months. FunMakers has chosen a playground system which contains a covered canopy so that Raymond can once again enjoy the outdoors.

Brown Squirrel Furniture has committed to providing furniture for Raymond Debuty, the only surviving Debuty child, as well as the bedroom suit for master bedroom and two additional items.
The Debuty family has worked with Brown Squirrel staff and Interior Designer Missy Sims of Commercial Environments to coordinate the donation of the items.
The One Home Many Hands project thanks Brown Squirrel for their assistance.
More than 75 volunteers from across East Tennessee constructed the walls and placed the roof on the Debuty home during the first Volunteer Day on Saturday, May 12th in Blount County (read the WVLT Volunteer TV CBS story here).
The day garnered significant progress on the Debuty home, while other volunteers helped clean up debris on the job site left from the early February fire that claimed the lives of four Debuty children.
Officials with the One Home Many Hands project hope to begin work this week on plumbing, electrical and HVAC, while also finishing work on the roof on Saturday, May 19th (read the Knoxville News Sentinel story here).

David Dunn, manager of the Maryville Home Depot confirmed on Tuesday, May 8 that the Home Depot would donate $1,000 to the One Home Many Hands project.
The donation will be kept in a construction fund at the store and will help to purchase materials needed to rebuild the Debuty home in Blount County, TN.
The One Home Many Hands project would like to thank the Home Depot for their helping hands.
In the light of living the tragedy surrounding the February fire that claimed four Debuty children, organizers with the One Home Many Hands project, have secured a “day-away” for both Ross and Amanda Debuty.
The Bristol Motor Speedway has invited Ross Debuty to attend the O’Reilly NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals from May 18-20 as a guest of the Speedway.
Belleza Salon and Spa has also confirmed that they will provide Amanda Debuty with a full-day salon and spa visit.
The One Home Many Hands project would like to thank officials with the Bristol Motor Speedway and Belleza Salon and Spa for their generous donations to the Debuty family.
